I have heard of dog's that have eaten these Dog Rocks, thus causing bladder stones.

I consider "John Flynn's Lawn Pebbles" a much safer alternative - if you have a very young puppy that is prone to eating things then you can take the extra precaution of purchasing the "John Flynn's Lawn Pebble Cage" which will contain the pebbles near the lawn in a pile without the dog having access to them - much safer than placing stones in water bowl from where they can find their way to the bladder.

Thanks to everyone for all the orders - I'm thinking of making the product veterinary-exclusive.

If you're not sure about ordering, just remember the 100% money back guarantee, so clients can be re-assured that they have nothing to lose and may as well try them even if they are suspicious, skeptical clients whose minds are closed.

Re: Grass urine staining

My annual laugh-for-a-minute is the trip to the Dog Rocks stand at BSAVA Congress and asking how they work!
I tried these and it made no difference at all. I told the rep this at congress, thinking any rep worth their salt (and with faith in their product) would say "here's another packet, give them a second chance", but she just asked me lots of questions about how I used them - how much water was in the bowl, how often I changed them, did the dog drink from anywhere else, etc - and then (when I'd answered all these questions correctly) said "well, they ALWAYS work EVERY time, you must have just been doing something else wrong"!!!!

Re: Grass urine staining
John - you throw them at the dog if it looks like it is going to pee on the lawn?
No, you must leave them undisturbed in a pile near the grass for maximal effect.

Can I interest you in some - sounds like you might still be having problems with lawn burn. 100% money back guarantee if you're not satisfied - just return the lawn pebbles to me and I'll give you your cash back.

Once you've seen the effect on your own dog, then you'll want more to market them in your clinic as currently sounds like you have nothing to offer to clients with dogs causing lawn burn - that must be very frustrating for you.

I used to have awful problems with lawn burn from my labrador, but not for the last 2 years with use of this product!

"John Flynn's Grass Pebbles"

You put them in a small pile near the grass area that you don't want burned. I don't know how they work, but they definitely do as I had lawn burn the last place I lived and when I moved here with these pebbles near the grass have had no further problems. Obviously they're expensive as I have a limited supply and they can only be sourced from my garden, but because I consider you guys friends, I'll actually sell them to you for HALF THE RECOMMENDED RETAIL PRICE, which will work out cheaper than the nearest competing product.

PRODUCT INFO:

"John Flynn's Grass Pebbles" were developed by a vet who recognized a common problem in the form of lawn burn and identified a solution from his own experience. They are now the fastest growing lawn burn product in Ireland, with plans for expansion into the UK, Europe and the rest of the universe. 100% MONEY BACK GUARANTEE IF NOT 100% satisfied.

You'll notice the halo of deep green grass around these burn patches as the nitrogen level falls to more bearable levels. It's the nitrogen that gives grass the rich green colour. To much nitrogen especially in a soluble form will over stimulate the grass to grow and it will "burn out".

Dogs that squat will dump a concentrated load of these elements in one small area of grass whereas the leg lifters will disperse their fertilizer load over greater areas. This is the reason for the urban myth that female urine is worse than males - there is no significant sex difference just the area treated with urine!

Feeding a high grade diet should help minimise the nitrogenous waste in the urine but other salts like Potassium and phosphorus will still be present and affect the grass adversely in high concentrations. Inherently carnivores will naturally have high levels of nitrogenous waste in their urine so it may be just something owners have to accept.

Studies have shown grasses like Fescue and Ryegrass are more tolerant but these species are not popular with the immaculate lawn fans.

Dog or lush green grass....take your pick!

Re: Grass urine staining
