Does it taste as disgusting as tramadol normally does? Never tried it myself, I hasten to add, but I find generally a poor compliance from the tablet formulation.

We make our own suspension with OraPlus. Not available from our supplier but we get it directly from Fagron.

Thanks Mark - we have the 5mg Tramadol tablets from Summit, he's a decent-sized boar so they should fit his needs.

I generally start at a low tramadol dose for gps (2mg/kg) then work up. Zydol is soluble tramadol and summit make small size tablets. I've seen profound sedation at higher doses so I dose each case on its own merits. Hope this helps Mark

Yes, we are on this dose already - agree most people dose way too low for G-Pigs (and indeed rabbits as well.) Just racking my brain as to if there is anything else going eg TMJ issue, myositis so any other suggestions welcomed!

Train owner to inject? Do so very frequently for difficult to pill cats. The amount of opioid we are talking for a guinea pig for a week isn't going to be of recreational value to the owner.
