I have a rabbit with probable impacted (if that's the word) upper cheek tooth roots, at least they look elongated on X-ray and its left naso-lacrimal duct is partially blocked, presumably by the tooth roots. My understanding is that this would necessitate extraction of the offending teeth before it gets much worse. So if that is the correct assumption who do I refer it to: a dentist or an exotics specialist? Evelyn and Mark - would you like to fight over it?! Or perhaps point me in the right direction.

Exotics specialist to be sure of diagnosis then on to dentist for dental extraction.

Lisa Milella is surely your neighbourhood dental expert.

Re: Who do I refer this to?

Why didn't I think of that? Rabbit's gone home now and I don't think they will be over-keen for me to have it back in again in a hurry. I could post the plain X-ray but don't have digital so will be a photograph of the plate on the viewing box so maybe not much good.
