Hello, this is a 2 year old male beardie with a firm lump on his chin. He is otherwise very well, eating and very active, no other lumps on his body. Diet and husbandry sounds good. His mouth looks completely normal to me, no abnormal swellings

Re: Beardie with firm lump on chin

Blimey, must be getting less incompetent at these exotics: my thoughts coincided exactly with Mark's.

My experience of firm lumps is almost always some degree of bone infection.

Re: Beardie with firm lump on chin

Hello,

Sedate it, skyline the mandible and take some radiographs, most of these have osteomyelitis, if there is a lesion, get some bloods and start on antibiotics. Debridement may be indicated. Check the heart for a murmur
