I have a cockatiel with chronic laying issue. I was looking into giving an hormonal injection to stop the cycle but we can't get any Lupron.
The owner is not prepared to go for the Suprelorin implant due to cost issue.

Lupron will work up more expensive than suprelorin so that may not be an option either.

There are reports of cabergoline use (dosing ranges from 1-5 drops of Galastop daily) with reasonable, but not always consistent, success so this may be worth trying alongside the normal managment changes (limited light hours, low fat diet, lack of bird or human 'courtship' behaviour.
