We got a letter through about these today. Has anyone used them and got any feedback? Sounds like it could be quite useful for those that can't afford a full behavioural consult, but I'm dubious about how

Re: The Behaviour Company and VetConnect
I'm a bit sanguine about behaviour consultants as it is.
The modus operandi seems to be one or two visits at the most accompanied by reams of "notes" telling the owner what to do. The owners lose interest, are never properly corrected because no one is present when they make their inevitable mistakes.

The most effective behaviour consultant I worked with was a lad in Suffolk who pounded the streets and fields with owner and dog, week after week, showing, telling, correcting, supporting. His fees were low and his results superb, because he taught rather than dictated and learned so much about his clients and "patients". He is still there getting great results for clients who take the trouble to listen to him. He spent a six year apprenticeship learning his skills before daring to unleash himself on the public. A solid, honest, effective, dedicated, professional - but unfortunately no fancy qualifications.

I am not sure how an online service can be at all effective.

Re: The Behaviour Company and VetConnect
I'm dubious about how much they can do in 15 minutes, and without actually seeing the dog!
A lot less than we could ourselves I suspect!
