I don't bother with faecal eggcounts but do flottation on farm. Takes a few minutes to set up, do the visit and have a look at the end of the visit. (My field microscope has survived 30 years and 1000nds of miles on rough roads). Immediate result in a few minutes. Only for nematodes and coccidiosis though, not for flukes.

You can DIY it - a funnel some filters rubber bands and patience ;)

We use it only to look for Angiostrongylus larvae..which may be intermittently excreted like Wynne pointed out. Simple to do really.

If you mean Angiostrongylus remember 1 negative means nothing

We do Baerman flotations in house looking for cattle lungworm.

We got the funnels, retort stands etc from Better Equipped.

We have an old MacMaster slide for egg counts, I know JAK marketing sell new ones.
