Dont forget FCS/FDS, often found with TFBUNDY or HBB, though I suppose the same as HEFT

I remember one on my large animal lecturers explaining that in some areas of the uplands and highlands of Scotland the soil was poor and as a result some animals would be hypocalcaemic, some hypomagnesaemic, some hypocupraemic, others hypophosphataemic and some were heft ( hypo every f------g thing) . Remember that heft is also a proper word in Scots meaning either a small area of land or herding animals to get used to a pasture where they will be kept, to lift something or check the weight, or with a y on the end it means heavy, so take care if working north of the border!

Think we've got problems? Read and understand this from an accident report...

It was noted that the switches to select both the AP and A/T are on the MCP, although not adjacent. In addition to the A/T selection switch, L and R A/T ARM switches, of a different appearance to the AP and A/T switches, are also available on the MCP and are adjacent to the AP selection switch.

The PF [pilot flying] switched on the AP [autopilot] whilst still on the ground, I think, so the AP stopped the plane climbing steeply enough to leave the ground......

+1, or at least a translation.

I'm told that BA [British Airways] used TLAs [three letter abbreviations] a lot.

Trouble was each department had a different TLA for the same thing!

And ,of course, air-line pilots refer to passengers as SLF [self-loading freight]...
