&lt;p&gt;Yup, sounds like puppy strangles. These days I go in pretty early with steroids. Antibiotics on their own are pants, this is an immune mediate problem rather than simple infection - it&amp;#39;s allerjik.&lt;/p&gt;

Peculiar and nasty condition, in this case it was the ears that swelled rather than the eyelids though..
