Unfortunately, though, is looking extremely cow hocked, particularly on right, with some discomfort on tibial crest palpation both sides

Re: home cooked diet in young giant breed dogs

Well, glad the male owner has a veterinary degree, saved us all a lot of time!

Re: home cooked diet in young giant breed dogs

[quote user="james herriot lied"]I had a good chat with the female owner this morning about diet.
I would LOVE to be a miserable, obstructive, penny pinching cow. The best I can come up with is to be annoying, interferingly over-helpful and I spend money like water (had to explain to the OH this week why I've again spent half the grocery bill on down clothing)

I may have a job on here - currently on tea break and about to xray next.

Re: home cooked diet in young giant breed dogs

I had a client who insisted her kitten would not eat anything other than prawns, it developed nutritional osteodystrophy so severe it was suffering spontaneous fractures but still she would not listen to dietary advice. So I referred her to Bristol Feline Unit and they told her exactly the same but charged her £2,000 for the privilege and all she did was complain about how much it cost.
