 Any info here would be greatly appreciated - BSAVA exotics book has disappeared and have a meerkat booked in this afternoon. Never seen one before, normal parameters and drugs/dose rates that can be used?

As monogastrics they cope fine with standard canine/feline antibiotics and certainly worth covering for secondary infection as they often have grubby mouths.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Quiz the owner about numbers, sex ratio, any change in health of dominant animals, space provided in the enclosure, and hide/basking opportunities as if there is a problem then it will resurface as soon as this one is returned and the aggression can be even more intense after separation even if brief.&lt;/p&gt;
