6yo male bunny with chronic white discharge from both ears. Discharge is viscous and dries out to form a crust which appears to be quite painful. If you can get most of the crud out (may need sedation as it is so painful) Aurizon drops seems to be easy to apply because of the nice long soft nozzle and is usually effective.

Re: Rabbit with white ear discharge

Hello,

your most likely diagnosis is otitis media with pus appearing at the base of the ears. Tympanic bulla radiography is what is required as a start: long antibiotic courses with analgesia or surgery may be required. Post the Rads if you wish. If the funds will stretch some routine bloods in a rabbit this age would not hurt. Goodluck
