Pretty sure it was when he was at stud, I think his score was 133 or 136; about the best you want to see, scores over that aren't such good performers and suggests some delay in conduction.

Trouble is, as Jim Steel used to say, the heart is just one factor in a complex biological situation so the good performers have other characteristics which maximise their performance, so a good score doesn't necessarily mean a good performer; the converse is usually true though.

Apologies, was being tongue in cheek. I suspect the the Saudi royal family have some pretty restrictive confidentiality agreements and suitable punishments for those found in breach!

I'm amazed that Hyperion had an ECG done. He won his races in the early 30s when ECG technology was very much in its infancy and it must have taken someone pretty visionary to apply it to horses so early on. Or perhap we had it first? Was there anything particularly interesting/abnormal about it and do you know whether it was taken when he was still in training or later on when he'd gone to stud?

Oh yeah, he's just in a box outside. Give me 5mins and I'll pop out and do it. Rode a lovely piece of work on him this morning too...
