Seems to help about 70% ie improve continence - not necessarily dry them up.

If you can arrange a visit from Virbac to discuss ypozane and suprelorin, also the new Canileish vaccine, well worth it!

Very helpful regarding offlabel use for the implants such as for incontinence, also shrinking vaginal leiomyomas prior to surgery!

Re: 10yo Fn Lurcher with SMI - not totally responsive

I would second trying suprelorin implant prior to considering surgery as I have found it very effective in dogs still incontinent on propalin and incurin.
Deslorelin (suprelorin) in combination with PPA has shown some excellent results achieving upto 100% continence in some small case series.

Case series was in spayed females. Mechanism incompletely understood. Response to suprelorin on own around 70%, rising to 100% with PPA added. However, if you review the literature bear in mind that some of the case series relate to a time before medical management was as widespread or as effective as it now is. Most of the bitches coming to surgery these days have failed to respond t appropriate medical therapy and many of us believe that the prognosis with surgery on those bitches is not quite as good as it was previously.
