And reptiles?
I had a look at the BSAVA manual in reptiles and I am wondering if you have any other advice?
Thanks in advance!

Carpenter's exotic animal formulary is invaluable for exotics and a new edition has just been released.

For reptiles Mader's book, as mentioned above, can't be surpassed!

For the Reptiles, Maders: Reptile Medicine and Surgery is probably the best out there.

The BSAVA manuals of Reptiles and Psittacine birds are OK.

To help with basic work ups in order that you become familiar with them, I have included blood sampling videos and radiographic interpretation in my App. I was never shown how to carry out these procedures and had to teach myself which is why I produced the App in the first place.

Its really important for the reptiles to find a good non veterinary book with species descriptions and care guidelines so you can familiarise yourself with husbandry requirements as these are so important in your work ups (Poor husbandry is very common). The book I use most for this is the Questions and Answers Manual of Reptiles and Amphibians.
