Some improvement with Galastop but caudal two glands bilaterally still enlarged (right more than left).
Spay her. Point out to the owner (but diplomatically) that to do a full mammary strip () if there's the slightest chance there could be anything neoplastic is as sensible as doing a full mammary strip at six months old just to be sure she never gets mammary neoplasia.

Re: Canine mammary hypertrophy?
do a surgical biopsy
There's no one obvious mass though, just generally enlarged tissue so I'd be hard pressed to identify a good site for a biopsy
No, mammary masses are a case where full excision is indicated regardless of any FNA results.
I agree completely, but this isn't a mass as such, as said above, just general tissue enlargement (think bitch in season). Normally any mammary MASSES get cut off straight away!

Re: Canine mammary hypertrophy?

Doing a full mammary strip or not is one question but FNAs are largely useless for mammary tumours. Think how often you get a mixed-type tumour from proper histology, and think how often there may be inflammation as well. No, mammary masses are a case where full excision is indicated regardless of any FNA results.

Re: Canine mammary hypertrophy?

I'd spay now and do a surgical biopsy as opposed to FNA at the same time
