It should lie cranial to the cranial edge of the pubic bones. It&#39;s not quite as&nbsp; simple as that, because a lot of fat can influence the effective caudal extent of the peritoneal space, but it gives you a rough guide. But I agree - there are continent dogs with intrapelvic bladder necks, and incontinent ones where the bladder neck lies well within the abdomen.
