Unless the examination was done under GA (which I assume it wasn't as you would have just rasped them if it was) then IMHO severe dental disease is still very possible. Rabbits can get nasty hooks on their most caudal teeth that you really can't see unless under a good level of anaesthesia. If different arcades are wearing at different rates, there is a problem. Also bear in mind that rabbits can get TM joint and muscle pain just from not being able to use their jaw normally, without any spurs etc visible in the mouth.

Good luck!

Re: Rabbit weight loss
Full body xrays, more blood required (if only for haem but more biochem would help), head xrays and faecal examination would be a good start. are the faeces normal size?

post the xrays if you wish.

Goodluck.

p.s. loads of blood available from lateral saphenous vein, theres an App out there somewhere to show you how?

,
Bit of a contradiction here I feel. There are either spurs that need trimming or not, if there are they need doing bunny doesn't have to be salivating or there to be visible ulceration to be in discomfort from them. I'm of the view that incisors are best left in place and trimmed every month concious with a diamond disc and the spurs trimmed under GA as often as necessary unless the teeth are obviously painful or infected and have several bunnies where this is the case. X-rays will be useful but I'm not the greatest at interpreting them so would be similarly reluctant. I bow to Evelyn's greater knowledge on this one.

Re: Rabbit weight loss
Is the mouth significant?
