Is there any vulval swelling/reddening? Has she had any nexting behaviour demonstrated? I believe Pinmoore (www.palsvetlab.co.uk) can run assays for progesterone and a hCG stimulation test will give you a better idea of endocrine role.

Adrenal hyperplasia/neoplasia has been reported in rabbits as an alternative source of sex hormones and additional differential to retained ovarian tissue if symptoms are consistent with endocrine origin.
