&lt;p&gt;OK, I get it! &amp;nbsp;- though it does depend on it being magnetic. I admit to developing rather tunnel vision here related to a similar case that I saw last year. A metallic linear FB in the dorsal cervical musculature that we removed surgically - it was exactly where the radiographs said it should be and the surgery took almost 5 minutes. But not before St Elsewhere&amp;#39;s referral hospital had racked up a bill of &amp;pound;2.5k for MRI and US and estimated a further &amp;pound;2-2.5K for the surgery. &lt;p&gt;Careful dig I suppose. You shouldn&amp;#39;t have to open oesophagus and a needle sized hole shouldn&amp;#39;t be a problem. &lt;/p&gt;
