&lt;p&gt;... have the wonderful app thanks and have considered blood sampling it but they&amp;#39;re keen to try glipizide or metformin (again thanks a lot google)&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;So that looks like 1/43rd of a tablet to me then!!&lt;/p&gt;

Glipazide at 1-3mg/kg po q 24hr has been tried. Most of these are treated with diet modification (low carb).
Some bloods may give more info, there&amp;#39;s a great iPhone app with video of hamster blood sampling out there ;-)
