Depending on how virtuous you are feeling today you might want to suggest (or ask the council to suggest it) that the owner seeks some veterinary behaviourist advice for this cat. I have a horrible feeling that things may go from bad to worse if this cat is kept indoors and it's psychological needs aren't provided for properly

Ok. Case closed. There is no test that can be done to determine the % of wild genes in a cat Council went to visit yesterday and turns out its a neighbourhood dispute more than anything. Cat has been lurking in bushes and attacking people. But cat apparently a normal looking Bengal So. Owners to receive a warning letter advising them to keep the cat inside and if there's further problems then the cat will be given an ASBO!

I may be wrong but if you can get tissue samples, I thinkthe AnimalHealth Trust (Newmarket lot-not Ian and Gillian's neighbours ) may be able to help

I suppose you could get hold of some DNA from it, but then you'd have to compare it to that of a leopard cat, wouldn't you? Dunno... have the council checked with whoever the owner of this cat says its breeder is?
