My local council have asked me to investigate a 'dangerous' Bengal cat that has been attacking people in the local neighbourhood... the council officer believes the cat to be an F1 Bengal which would require a DWA

Re: DNA breed/species testing

[quote user="peewit"]

Case closed. There is no test that can be done to determine the % of wild genes in a cat
Council went to visit yesterday and turns out its a neighbourhood dispute more than anything. Cat has been lurking in bushes and attacking people. But cat apparently a normal looking Bengal

So. Owners to receive a warning letter advising them to keep the cat inside and if there's further problems then the cat will be given an ASBO!

Re: DNA breed/species testing

I may be wrong but if you can get tissue samples, I thinkthe AnimalHealth Trust (Newmarket lot-not Ian and Gillian's neighbours ) may be able to help
