As for the blood..... Got an iphone or ipad? Some suave sophisticated chap has just created an iphone App with degu blood sampling video on it. Gotta be worth 8 quid.

Theres also a tramadol dose for degus. Or go onto my website and download my free analgesics for exotics chart. the degu dose is the same as the chinchilla.

Hope this helps.

Re: Degu, shifting lameness

Thank you, we were thinking rads, I wasn't sure if we could get enough volume of blood for anything more then a smear from one this small (150g), just getting second thoughts with the shifting lameness, but an aminal this small I think I can stretch to both legs on the same plate! Tramadol dose same as dogs? 2mg/kg? We only have the 50mg capsules, I think I may have to do some dilution maths, my favourite!

Re: Degu, shifting lameness

I suppose long story short:

Ga, rads +/- bloods, or euthanasia if not responding to meloxicam.

You could try tramadol as an alternative, Whats the diet like, it sounds as though this may be implicated here.
