I just would like to know if someone has used a Suprelorin implant in a bearded dragon before?
I have a female bearded dragon that was spay last year by another vet, and presented with follicles. So we did surgery but because of a lot

Re: Suprelorin implant reptile

Suprelorin effects are still poorly understood in reptiles - anecdotally some reproductive modifications have been reported but controlled studies have conflicting alteration of the sex hormones (some show reduction, some no change and some an increase!). The best way to address any remaining ovarian tissue is to resect all visible tissue as you've done and also perform a bilateral salpingectomy as this reduces feedback in follicle maturation and will help prevent activity long-term. You can offer suprelorin but have to be honest with owners and advise it may cause hyperstimulation initially with possible yolk release into the coelom, and may be a medium term control or may do nothing!
