Well

Here it is

ACP , vetergesic , torbugesic , diazepam , medetomidine , propofol and iso
What's the problem? I know some clinics in the Middle East who'd sell their own mother for those meds! (Not a lot of veterinary meds available in some countries...) (Count your blessings, good drugs those!)

Re: good anaesthetic / sedation choice for liver disease

Liver disease is rarely worsened by anaesthetic drug admin directly but it simply takes longer either to have effect or to wear off - can't see the problem tbh.

Re: good anaesthetic / sedation choice for liver disease

Thanks everyone for all your suggestions !

Re: good anaesthetic / sedation choice for liver disease

Normal Torbugesic (or equiv) dose and half Domitor (or equiv) dose i/v. We had a staff dog have a ga and dental and an anaesthetist suggest we just use methadone, no NSAID, no acp. Went fine and his liver is pretty shot!

Don't you need a lateral as well - might as well while he is there.

Re: good anaesthetic / sedation choice for liver disease
want vd xray abdo
Then you don't even need a GA. IV medetomidine/butorphanol and then reverse as soon as you are done.

If you insist on a GA then crack on with your usual protocol - the safest regimen is the one you are familiar with.
