need your help again for a Rabbit with 2 cysts-like lesion on both hind legs.
The cysts are actually on the caudal aspect of the thighs. The right one is bigger then the left one.
They are under the skin and the muscles are not interested

Re: Rabbit cysts

I'll post the result of dipstick next week, just as a curiosity!

for some reasons I'm starting to think that it could be a parasitic cyst.

I'm actually seeing the rabbit next week, and will offer the O the options of FNA, or surgically remove/hysto.

The fluids I have drained was clear yellow, and I did urine dipstick on it. Do you think that could give an indication?

Cheers,

Luciano

Not sure what Mark means by lymphoid cysts?

I presume that is not jt associated? They get cystic adnexal neoplasms as well like trichoepitheliomas - these would exude pasty grey/tan material if lanced?

Re: Rabbit cysts

Thanks Mark.
Rabbits can get epidermal inclusion cysts and lymphoid cysts as well as parasitic cysts.

I would surgically explore and try to remove/biopsy the cyst wall

Goodluck
