 Sam qualified from Edinburgh in 1970, and was a partner in mixed practice in Fife until 2002. I may be wrong, but I think the new practice building in St Andrews is a partial testament to his career.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt; &amp;nbsp;I would like it noted that Mr Orr died this year at a ripe old age, practically unheralded.Being an assistant there ,I gather, makes me one of legions, but I always found him a very pleasant , if (understandably) harrassed person.We had little in common, as he was keen on the horses and I did the small animals.Now I`m approaching retirement I think I can empathise more with him.&lt;/p&gt;
