If WNV occurs in this country, we can vaccinate, and hopefully prevent a BSE - hysteria type reaction amongst the public. I was scared that if it was imported, it could spread, and my horses would be at risk, not only from natural infection, but also from a politician&amp;#39;s knee-jerk reaction, ordering a cull. Anyone remember the result of political interference in FMD.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Let&amp;#39;s hope we now get a vaccine for AHS. That is the other big threat&lt;/p&gt;
