To me it sounds like the clients like the &amp;lsquo;Chinese vet&amp;rsquo;. It doesn&amp;rsquo;t sound racist to me. Maybe the clients can&amp;rsquo;t remember her name and receptionists/nurses should take it as such. Also it&amp;rsquo;s easier for the client to say black vet than African or West Indian because I could be either. However I belong to an older generation( Class of 1988 Cambridge).
