Still not clear on whether they need to go to CVS practices:

This pet insurance policy is exclusive to customers of CVS (UK) Limited.

The terms, rates and features of this pet insurance policy have been

negotiated by CVS (UK) Limited vets, based on the needs of CVS (UK)

Limited customers.

In all usual circumstances, during the period of insurance, you should

seek treatment from your usual CVS (UK) Limited veterinary practice or

such nominated out of hours or specialist referral centre recommended

by your normal treating practice.

Actually now seen the paperwork. It seems to a bog standard insurance policy based out of Portsmouth. It is only CVS that is suggesting the client must use their practices.

Still not great value though for my dog.

Expensive and clients must use a CVS practice 'normally'!

Got a quote and it is more than I pay at present for less cover plus my choice of vets is limited to them.

I find it more than a little unacceptable that the find a vet only finds them!

There seems to be a lot that is misleading about this company and it seems indicative of the philosophy that puts CVS (in this case) at the centre rather than the client or patient. No real surprise there!

I also wonder if this covers treatment in CVS practices only. If so, what do the Vets For Choice have to say?

It is not clear if this insurance only covers treatment at CVS practices. The policy wording is the usual minefield: 'This pet insurance policy is exclusive to customers of CVS (UK) Limited. ' And the find a vet option on the insurance website looks like only lists CVS practices.
