We only have the headline results from the full Survey of the Profession - the report won't be published until end July - but ref the statement "I feel I should continue to be obliged to take steps to provide emergency first aid and pain relief to animals according to my skills and the specific situation”, 80% said either 'agree' or 'strongly agree'; 12% said 'neither'; and only 8% said 'strongly disagree' or 'disagree'. We had over 6,800 respondents to the Survey.

The final report will show a more detailed breakdown of respondents by age/gender etc.

Best wishes Lizzie Lockett

Can I ask which "part" of the profession does not want to give up 24/7. A breakdown of the survey would be great. As the owner of a 10 vet practice I would not deny my clients access to 24 hr care but want to be in control of how it is delivered and not be dictated to by non-clients taking advantage of a service subsidised by us the business owners or other true clients of our practice.
