The expert staff and volunteers will often know the full history of the dogs in their care and provide you with invaluable knowledge on the breed and tips for caring for individual dogs to make sure the dogs find a family for life.&amp;quot;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;I would be careful with this statement. I know from a rescue centre where they will accept your donation of taking a dog, not giving you the full history and then slander you in social media when you realise that there are &amp;#39;unexpected&amp;#39; issues.&lt;/p&gt;

Just because it&amp;#39;s women doing the signing over at the shelter, doesn&amp;#39;t mean it&amp;#39;s mostly women ducking out on the responsibility towards the dog.&lt;/p&gt;
