Mere Road Vets is a privately owned independent practice situated on the Fylde coast, located in a pleasant residential area close to Stanley Park, Blackpool. We have modern surgical and diagnostic facilities which includes an in-house laboratory, digital x-ray, ultrasound and a purpose built theatre. We are an RCVS Accredited General Practice (Tier 2) and a Veterinary Nurse Training Practice.

We are looking for an enthusiastic, self-starting Veterinary Surgeon who is looking to progress their career and become an integral part of a patient focused team. We are committed to providing all the support necessary for you to advance and we promote a good work-life balance through a favourable rota. We are looking for a surgical bias, preferably including orthopaedics – the willingness to undertake and learn new techniques would also be required.

Position Summary:

Three Vet Team
Support Team of RVNs and Experienced Auxiliary Staff
No On-Call
1 in 3 weekends
CPD Encouraged and Funded with Additional Leave Days
RCVS Fees and VDS Cover Paid

Small animal practice (three vet) requires cover on Thursday and Friday for the next three-four weeks due to sickness.
