CEVA publishes Q fever booklet

CEVA Animal Health has published an information booklet on Q Fever to help broaden awareness and understanding of the disease. Q Fever is an emerging, worldwide disease that affects goats, cattle and sheep as well as humans. It is caused by the bacterium Coxiella burnetii and can induce late abortions, metritis, fertility problems, mastitis and low vitality in neonates born from carrier animals. The new booklet explains how the disease is transmitted, the symptoms, diagnosis and how it can be managed and prevented.
