Janssen launches new equine sedative gel
Janssen Animal Health has launched Domosedan Gel, an oromucosal gel for the sedation of horses. Janssen says Domosedan Gel, which contains 7.6 mg/ml (40mcg/kg) detomidine, induces sedation and analgesia with the efficacy and recovery comparable to Domosedan injection. Domosedan Gel is administered under the horse's tongue, so it is rapidly absorbed.
